Final Declaration of the XX. International Anti-Imperialist and Anti-Fascist Youth Camp

While the attacks of imperialism against the peoples of the world have increased and intensified, the anti-fascist and anti-imperialist youth has raised its combative voice in the XX. International Anti-Imperialist and Anti-Fascist Youth Camp that took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, where we also organised a demonstration with the support of the Danish people against the presence of their troops in Iraq and Afghanistan , and against the war in the Middle East .

More than 300 young people from 16 countries of the world, Germany, Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Finland, France, India, England, Iraq, Iran, Mexico, Palestine, Turkey and Denmark have run workshops, discussions and debates in which we shared experiences of organisation and struggle against war, neo-liberalism and imperialism.

The world under the impositions of imperialism is in crisis; this is expressed with the orientation towards fascism through wars, invasions and aggressions against the peoples seeking their liberation, on one hand, while, on the other hand, through the implantation of neo-liberal policies, that force the people of the world to live under poverty, that negate any possibility of access to work, health and qualified education.

The rivalry between the North American imperialists and other imperialists, such as the European ones, has taken them to bloody dispute over the natural resources and strategic zones for the assurance of their interests.

Alongside the intensification of these attacks, the resistance of the peoples, the workers and especially of the youth is on the rise; an example of this struggle and international solidarity is the realisation of this XX. International Anti-Imperialist and Anti-Fascist Youth Camp, through which we want to manifest our most firm obligation to support the struggles of the peoples of the world.

We support the fight and resistance of the peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan, invaded by the USA and the NATO, and of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples against the Zionist aggression by Israel .

We characterize Latin America as the weak link of the chain of imperialist domination.

Venezuela is advancing a democratic and nationalist process. Colombia has maintained the insurrection that has not been defeated for 40 years; in Ecuador the people has defeated 3 corrupt presidents and has defeated imperialism by the expulsion of OXY and not signing the TLC (Free Trade Treaty).

We note the resistance of the Cuban revolution that has been going on for more than 40 years, and also the democratic process of the Bolivian people defending their natural resources and the fight of the Mexican public in defence of creating popular will.

Moreover, in Europe, the struggle of the German public against Hartz IV, the successful ΄NO` campaign of the French people against the EU Constitution and the victory of the youth over the CPE legislation has empowered and enabled all sections of the public to join the struggle against neo-liberalism.

Such struggles in the recent years have demonstrated to the people of Europe that the neo-liberal policies and militarist plans of EU can be defeated with the united and determined fight of the people against such policies and plans.

The wind of change blowing all over the world obliges the youth to reinforce their fight and to achieve new victories such as the one achieved by the French youth against the CPE as well as the Chilean and the Ecuadorean ones, amongst others for a better education.

In this period the participants of this camp have been able to learn from the experience of these young people who demonstrated through their practice that unity is the guarantee for victory against imperialism that is the common enemy.

The borders that split us do not matter: there is one struggle and one obligation that unites us.

International Anti-Fascist and Anti-Imperialist Youth Camp

• Undertake new struggles and resistances for the liberation of the peoples of the world

• Form closer links of international solidarity between the participants of the XX International Anti-Fascist and Anti-Imperialist Youth Camp and with all democratic and revolutionary organisations of the world

• Undertake to realise the XXI International Anti-Fascist and Anti-Imperialist Youth Camp (*) as a task for all young people pursuing the construction of a better world

• Let's assume combatively and fearlessly the objective to work for the unity of the youth and of the peoples against imperialism and fascism.

The only alternative to capitalism is scientific socialism.
